The cost will be £50 per couple or £40 for a single attendee. Workshop fee includes a hot drink (per attendee) and a stretchy wrap to take home (one per couple or single attendee).

To say I was clueless about ‘all things baby’ is an understatement. I always knew I wanted to be a mother, but from a very small family, I had never been around babies or young children. It felt like an alien new world. I remember sitting scrolling aimlessly at blogs recommending the ‘essentials’, not knowing where to start and almost wanting to just break down and cry (blame the hormones ). Enter Martha. Martha not only has the experience of 3 children herself, but a further 25+ nieces/nephews…which makes her a really safe and wide ranging font of knowledge.

What struck me most about collaborating with Martha was how deeply she cares about the person in front of her.

She is incredibly passionate, asks great questions and is a fantastic spotter of patterns; therefore able to diagnose best route / best equipment from slings, to prams, to car seats…

My first experience with Martha was attending a sling workshop. It offered a chance for partners to attend too: offered a buffet of potential slings, loads of time to practice, get it ‘wrong’ and understand the safety tips and tricks and build confidence. Martha accompanied me to a pram shop and comforted me when I (literally) sat down and had a cry on the floor. She instinctively took the reins, taking my ‘must haves’ list, advocating for me with the shop assistant and encouraging me to test drive buggies around to ensure they felt right. Not a hair was left out of place - style, colour, look, alongside weight, practicalities like ease of collapse, storage, durability, all weather options etc. I came out of the shop knowing exactly what I wanted and it was a bigger gift than I think she realised.

Martha is always calm, considered and thoughtful in her approach. I remember sending what felt like 100 links for car seats and she carefully analysed the suggestions alongside my tickboxes and offered thoughts and alternatives where applicable. 2 years into motherhood I can happily report that the 360 spinning car seat has completely saved mine (and my partners!) back. Working with Martha simply meant avoiding overwhelm, something that can be synonymous with an oversaturated market full to the brim of options. Martha quietened the ‘noise’ around the decision making, acting trusted advisor and companion and I don’t know how I would have navigated it without her. Still today, she is my absolute go-to.

I have spent who knows how much time and money trying to find the right sling; to the extent that I was sewing up slings to just try and make them comfy. But in an hour with Martha, with her wealth of knowledge of and ability to work out what I might need, she quickly found one that we still love. And that bespoke knowledge of what would suit me, my body and my daughter can't be found through internet hunts or scrolling through other people's reviews.

8 months later, we are still using the same sling and hugely recommend working with Martha. My back definitely does! Thank you.

I spoke to Martha while I was expecting my first baby and was looking for a travel system. She really helped me narrow down what I was looking for and think through the features that would be right for us. I eventually settled on the pram I wanted that met all the criteria but it was a discontinued pattern and I couldn’t find one for sale anywhere!

Martha came to the rescue with some in depth searches and eventually I had my dream pram delivered!

We have recently welcomed baby number 2 to our family and I can’t wait to put the pram to good use again for some winter walks! My eldest has graduated to a more compact stroller now and again, I would have been lost down a Google hole buying that one if it weren’t for Martha’s expert guidance!

I didn't find Martha until I was on my third baby and I wish I'd gone to her from the start! She had a broad, insightful knowledge of baby products and was able to help me find items that were right specifically for my baby. She took the time to support me until I was confident and satisfied with my decisions and even helped me find a really good deal on a sling that I thought would be out of my price range.

Honestly, I'd recommend her service to all mothers, whether they're on their first baby or their fifth!!!
